Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences is leading the future of dermatology in Korea

All tests by the Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences shall be subject to the provisions concerning internationally-certified SCI academic papers, OECD test criteria, regulations concerning the designation of testing institutions for pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs, cosmetics and medical equipment by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea, management guidelines on the clinical trials for pharmaceuticals, guidelines on human application of cosmetic products and their effectiveness tests, test method guidelines for verification of cosmetics labeling and advertising, guidelines on the effectiveness evaluation for functional cosmetics, the Bioethics and Safety Act by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the standard operating procedures (SOP) by the Dermatological Science & Clinical Evaluation Services and thus be strictly executed according to international standards.
Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences is a research institute that observes strict ethical standards and caters perfectly to the needs of companies by conducting safety and effectiveness evaluations on pharmaceutical ingredients and cosmetic products through in-vitro cell testing in 2D/3D and in-vivo human application testing, and others. All study and research activities are executed by using state-of-the-art analysis equipment in an optimal environment and research reports containing objectively verified results are distributed accordingly. All these activities are conducted by the panel of experts in dermatology, faculty members in the field of cosmetic engineering and researchers who hold postgraduate and doctorate degrees. Based on this human and material infrastructure, we publish more than 30 papers every year in internationally acclaimed SCI-equivalent journals, and our research capacity over skin diseases, aging, skin physiology, and more.
