CFDA (China Food & Drug Administration), an institute under the State Council of the People's Republic of China, can be likened to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea. CFDA is responsible for managing and supervising foods, cosmetics and medical equipment. The procedures where foreign brands register their brand for exports to China and the certificates in regard to it is simply referred to as CFDA hygiene license. Currently, the Chinese government requires every foreign cosmetic brand to register this hygiene license.
Korea-China Cosmetic Industry Study Team of the Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences has partnered with the companies that are professionally engaged in local cosmetics license application and cosmetics consulting on laws and regulations to support the domestic brands to acquire the hygiene license from the Chinese authorities.
